Okay, not sure what the protocol is, or any unspoken rules, but I was thinking of posting a link to my post on here about the next Mitsubishi Lancer Evo actually not being an Evo in the Eclipse post on the FP. But don't want to seem pushy like "LOOK AT ME, I POSTED SOMETHING KIND OF RELEVANT TO WHAT YOU ARE SAYING OVER IN OPPO BUT I AM CONCERNED YOU MAY NOT SEE IT!!!"

So should I not do it then? Just let it hang out in Oppo land?

You can share to Jalopnik? (Nibbles? Are you a wizard?)

Depends on what you're looking for. If you want an intelligent dicussion, I'd write a new post in Oppositelock and reference the FP post and link to it. If you want to be called stupid or a fanboi just comment on the FP article.

Yeah, I read that a couple of times as well. Seems like he wrote something in a FP thread and is afraid in might not get enough attention.

Why not leave it on the FP. People who care about Mitsus will find it.

Rule #1 for getting people to read what you wrote: Embrace shameless self promotion.

No. I was going to copy the URL to the post I made on Oppo, and paste it in as a comment to the Eclipse post on the front page.

Make sense?

Yep, I thought you meant share it to the front page, and not a link :) that said, I think the complaining earlier was more or less about having too many untitled shares on oppo.

What if I'm looking for intelligent discussion or trying to bring something to OPPO's attention that it's largely missed, but feel like that discussion is best left in the existing thread on the post on the FP (or in an older OPPO post that is now lost to time)? Leaving it in the existing post allows it to easily be seen and commented on by the OP as well, instead of a new thread, which they may never see.

Personally, I'm less annoyed by shares that actually might start a good discussion than by "real" posts that basically pointless and just taking up space.
